End of Season Windup, Winners & Grinners!

What a Season - With 4 teams celebrating Grand Final Wins!

The 2024 season has been such an exciting one for Margaret River Hockey Club in many ways. The enthusiasm of players at busy training sessions and extended time on our turf, the buzz of watching hockey from the Paris Olympics, (supporting Aran Zalewski and the Kookaburras in August), our membership registrations have remained at 169 (That’s not including our life members and social club members).

We continued to make some major improvements for players and supporters developing our facilities. We improved our “hockey HQ” shelter with sturdy cafe blinds, connected the power enabling lights and for us to improve our catering capabilities after training, with an impressive 3-door catering fridge, which has really helped to improve our BBQ sessions on training nights.

From our 8 teams, 6 made it to the semi finals, and the Year 6-8 Boys, Year 6-8 Girls, Senior Women and Masters were crowned premiers! Congratulations!

Well done to all our players, for the effort and teamwork displayed by you all, both on and off the pitch.

This year our end of season club wind-up and awards event was at the Margaret River Mens Shed and the turf.  Thanks to our committee and additional volunteers who made the event a great way to celebrate our team wins, our awards and fit in a little bit of club business with our Annual General Meeting too!
