All Players at Margaret River Hockey Club must be registered before they can train and play.

There are two components to registration for all our full-season teams (i.e., all teams except HookIn2Hockey). Hockey Australia registration and MRHC membership. In an effort to keep costs down for 2025 we have reduced the MRHC membership component for the second year in a row to offset the increase in fees paid to Hockey Australia via the Busselton Hockey Association.

Both fees are collected in the same payment when you register. If you would like to register for a payment plan, or have multiple players from the same family and hence qualify for a discount, please see below before you register. When you’re ready to register, Click Here to Register.

  • Hockey Australia Registration fees (paid to Busselton Hockey Association)

    Juniors - $56.81

    Seniors - $68.79

    Club Registration Fees (paid to Margaret River Hockey Club)

    Year 3 - 5 - $143.19 - Total $200

    Year 6 - 8 - $233.19 - Total $290

    Year 9 - 12 - $323.19 - Total $380

    Senior Men / Women & Masters - $441.21 - Total $510

  • Our club in an approved Kidsport provider.

    All WA children aged 5 to 18 with a valid Health Care Card can apply for up to $500.

    KidSport vouchers can be used for our club membership fee, but NOT the Hockey Australia registration fee.

  • We offer a discount for families registering multiple players on Junior teams, click this link to request a discount code.

    • $50 off for the 2nd player

    • $75 for the 3rd player

    We also offer the option of paying your registration fees in instalments, for all teams. To request a payment plan, click this link to request a payment plan.

    • Membership to the Margaret River Hockey Club. Membership entitles the member to a vote at the Annual General Meeting. If the registered player is under 18 years of age, then one parent or guardian will receive membership. The parent or guardian who is nominated as the primary contact in the Hockey Australia registration system will receive the membership

    • Player and team registration to play in the Busselton Hockey Association (winter comp) an Margaret River (summer social comp).

    • Basic player insurance cover.

    • Training facility costs including maintenance of Margaret River turf grounds and lights.

    • Coaching/playing equipment (cones, bibs, portable goals, training boards etc.)

    • (Subsidised) coaching and umpiring courses

    • Umpire fees for regular junior season games

    • Club administration costs

    • End of season trophies, team photos and end of season club day for junior and senior players

    • Public liability insurance

    • Building and contents insurance

    • Council fees (including Gloucester Park levy and turf hire)

  • MRHC has a policy of “no pay, no play”. This means that a player’s Hockey Australia registration fee must be paid to train on the turf in Margaret River and play in a team in the Busselton Hockey Association competition.

    A payment plan can be arranged to enable registration fees to be paid in instalments over a number of weeks or months.

    Please note all fees must be paid in full by 30th June.

  • Once a player's registration has been accepted by the club, they are covered under the insurance policy provided by the governing body, Hockey Australia.

    It is important that all members understand what insurance cover is included in their registration fees, and make their own determination as to whether they need to consider any additional private health insurance to supplement the HA provided cover.
