Season 2022 Review & Club Wind-up
The 2022 season has been a fantastic one for Margaret River Hockey Club in many ways. The excitement of our new training turf (completed May 22), encouraged more players at all levels to come and try hockey, with our membership increasing by 9%! Since the club structure review last year, we have continued to adjust our volunteer roles and share the responsibilities which has enabled this growth.
With regards to new uniforms, we took the opportunity to review our club apparel. It was great to see the teal and yellow on the field and worn by many proud supporters on the sidelines too.
Many of our teams made it to the semi finals, and the men’s team were crowned premiers! Congratulations gentlemen!
Well done to all our players, for the effort and teamwork displayed by you all, both on and off the pitch.
This year our end of season club wind-up and awards event was at the Cowaramup Hall. Thanks to our committee and additional volunteers who made the afternoon event a great way to celebrate our team wins, our awards and share our thanks to those that have made our season and our hockey club what it is today.
