Special Night at the HEART
Please support a fellow club member and player, Matt Bycroft and his family. There lives were turned upside down when their 5-year-old child suffered a life-altering accident, leaving him a quadriplegic and facing life in a wheelchair. As you can imagine, this heart-breaking turn of events has seen their once active little boy who loved nothing more than playing outside, confined to a wheelchair and unable to enjoy time outside as before with their regular family camping adventures, a distant memory.

We are holding a fundraiser movie night to support the family, screening ‘From Sky to Sea’, a film about Jaimen Hudson (produced by Sea Dog TV International) at Margaret River HEART on 9 March 2024. This is an inspirational documentary telling the story of Jaimen Hudson had a motorcycle accident that left him a Quadriplegic and confirmed to a wheelchair. He overcame many hurdles to follow his dream of becoming a drone photographer and videographer. The film features the amazing footage he has captured of the South Coast of WA from both below the sea and in the sky.
Jaimen is also showing his support for this fundraising event and will be attending on the night. We are delighted that he is available for a Q & A session after the screening!
Tickets - $35 (adults) $15 (Under 16’s) will include complimentary drink, nibbles & movie

All funds raised will go to the Bycroft family to give Vance every chance to access all those things we take for granted. Funds raised will help alleviate the financial burden of weekly trips to Physio in Bunbury hospital, ongoing tests and surgeries at Perth Children’s hospital to planning camping trips to access local beaches and pools and generally getting out and about to live as ‘normal’ a life as a five year old boy should.
This is a community event hosted by the Margaret River Hockey Club.
