Foundation Support Coach / Foundation Lead Coach Workshop

Come and learn the basic valuable skills to support your coaching learning journey. Trid Woodhouse (Hockey WA’s Pathway and Performance Manager) will be running this workshop and following the advised curriculum for Foundation Lead Coach Accreditation provided by Hockey Australia.

These skills include;

• Essential skill delivery,

• Design and delivery of training sessions,

• Individual vs team training drills and

• Getting the balance between training vs coaching.

We are keen to support our coaches and assistant coaches that we need for our club to develop successfully. If you are thinking about giving back and helping in this very rewarding role, this workshop is for you.

• Parents of young junior players

• Senior players with years of experience

• Junior players keen to coach with the our Goldstixs and Yr 3-5’s

There is an online element that must be completed BEFORE the session with Trid on 25th April. This FREE accreditation is completed entriely online and can be done in the comfort of your own home. It will take approximately 2 hours to complete, and you recieve your Community Coaching Essential Skills certificate at the end!

For the Foundation Lead Coach Workshop on 25th April, there is also an online element, there is a fee of $50, but our club is looking at some sponsorship support for our coaches to be reimbursed. Please pay the online $50 so that you can maximise the benefit of the workshop on 25th April.
