Just a few club posts to share with you at this busy time of year
Club Christmas Social Catchup!
It was great to see families and fellow players drop by at the Brewhouse for our November catchup.. We thought we would put a date out there each month, so you can organise your team mates for a catchup.
The next date is Friday 17th December - so Save the Date! Venue to be agreed soon!
Looking forward to 2022 - Turf Training and exciting times for a new hockey development committee
The Board has been working hard behind the scenes, utilising a system of structure and support that aims to sustain the growth of our club for the coming years. We are looking for Committee Members who are keen to collaborate with the Board, combine ideas, promote events and welcome new players to our training turf next year. For more info see below...
"How is the turf coming along?"
This is the most popular question asked these days, and Gloucester Park is certainly a noisy, busy spot to visit! #TurfTuesday is being reported on our Club Facebook and Instagram pages. For those of you out of the social media loop, we have added some video coverage below. There have been some delays on site, but we have all fingers and toes crossed that our training turf will be ready for pre-season training in March.
Kids Camp Out - A great way to finish the season
After receiving the overwhelming positive feedback from all ages regarding our first pre-season camp, the post-season camp out was organised. Take a look at the some of the memories made below.
Please check the club website events diary for upcoming events (including the Christmas Catchup info).
KIDS CAMP OUT LOTS OF FUN!
A huge thanks must go out to all the parents who planned the weekend, prepared food and gave their time. The weekend brought good weather, and new sports were conquered including volleyball and beach games. After enjoying glorious sunsets, glow-in-the-dark boules were brought out and delicious "s'mores" were munched in-between story telling and dad jokes around the camp fire.
The youngsters were definitely the life of the party with their laughter and unmatched energy, and they also got in some dish-washing practice! Lots of fun memories were made by all ages from Pre-Primary to the parents who were in bed pre-10 pm!
A great example of how being linked by hockey enables the growth of new friendships and the many memories to be made outside of hockey too!
