It was great to see the start of the Junior team games this weekend. The weather was fantastic, and this year we have 7 junior teams registered! Welcome to all our new players and families. Registrations are open for our Goldstix program (starting Tuesday 10th May)
If your child is in Pre-Primary school to Year 2 school age and is keen to start their hockey club journey, then Goldstix is the program for them. It is a gentle introduction to hockey. The program runs at the same time as the Year 3-5 training on Tuesdays - 4.00 pm - 4.45 pm. The program will run for 9 weeks, with some small game sessions (with the Year 3-5's to conclude the last session.
To register, go to our website, there is an option $85 (including equipment - stick, ball, bag and shin pads) or without, if you already have the equipment. The club has some hockey sticks for your to borrow ( if you have only just ordered your equipment pack). Just come along!

Wednesdays 5.00 pm - 7.00 pm - Year 6-8 Girls, Year 9-12 Girls and Senior Women (*Boys / Men can join the training session 6.00 pm - 7.00 pm)
Training is on the grass - on the Lower Western Oval , Gloucester Park - until further notice.

Our club website has been updated. The Fixture Calendar nowhas ALL team fixtures added, so you can see at a glance when other age groups play. If you are staying in Busselton for some hot chips, head over to another Margaret River team game and cheer them on. If you are mentoring or umpiring, this is also a good place to check you are heading to the right pitch!

Construction of Hockey Training Complex and Associated Infrastructure The groundworks are at the final stage - the roller has been busy just finishing the last tiny snags before the Shire handover the site to Tiger Turf.
The access road is now open - so take a drive and have a look!
Keep your fingers crossed for some good weather. Tiger Turf will be hoping to lay the pad for the turf this week.
Then it's time to plan for our club celebration and share the turf with some special guests.
NEWS FLASH..... Friday 27th May, was our planned date to celebrate, however, Hockey Australia announced today fixture changes for the Kookaburra V New Zealand games (COVID situation in NZ Men's team), which will mean some special guests will be unable to attend 27th May.
We are now working hard to schedule a new date, more details coming soon...
